Malik Shirin’s journey to a new city was filled with challenges as she left behind her old life, depending largely on occasional help from strangers to meet her basic needs.

Unfortunately, Shirin’s health began to decline due to the lack of proper care. Through storms and heavy rains, she stayed outside, never seeking shelter.
When Shirin finally arrived at the rescue, the sight of her frail body told a story of intense hardship and suffering. She was so weak that she couldn’t fend off the ants crawling all over her, biting into her sensitive skin.
Seeing her was heartbreaking; her coat was patchy, her limbs were stiff, and her eyes were filled with exhaustion and pain. Every wound and every insect on her body was a stark reminder of how long she had been left to suffer alone, exposed and unprotected. Her state was not just pitiful, but a painful witness to the silent trauma she endured.
Shirin’s condition was critical. Her body desperately needed red blood cells, making a blood transfusion at the veterinary clinic urgent. Additionally, she had a fractured pelvis, which the doctors assured would heal with time.
The look in Shirin’s eyes was deeply moving; this loyal dog surely deserved more than a life of struggle. Despite her weak state, we held onto hope.
Now, at least, she was not alone in her fight. Shirin showed determination to keep drinking and eating, showcasing a spirit that was both inspiring and poignant.
Whether Shirin’s body would be able to regenerate enough red blood cells was still uncertain, placing us in a position of hope and patience. However, her slow but steady progress offered some relief.
Gradually, she began to show small signs of happiness—soft wags of her tail, gentler eyes, and a spark of interest in her surroundings. It was as though after enduring years of suffering in silence with unfailing patience, the heavy burden of her pain was finally starting to lighten. With every kind gesture, gentle embrace, and nourishing meal, a part of her wounded spirit began to mend.
The anxiety in her eyes slowly changed to trust, and instead of constant tension, there were now moments of quiet contentment. This transformation was not immediate but rather a slow, beautiful awakening to the possibility of happiness.
