Rescued Dog Farcik Battles Tar Trap, Begins Journey to Recovery and New Home

In Suwałki, Poland, a tired and abandoned dog sought warmth on a freshly laid patch of tar, unaware of the sticky trap it posed. Realizing he was stuck, the dog barked for help, drawing the attention of nearby workers.

The workers quickly acted, reaching out to Joanna Godlewska from the Niczyje Animal Foundation. Thanks to his determination, the dog had managed to free his snout from the tar, enabling him to call out and breathe more easily.

With the assistance of local police and fire departments, animal rescuers carefully worked to release the dog from the clutches of the tar.

Once freed, he was taken to a veterinarian for a thorough examination and treatment. In addition to dealing with exhaustion, the dog was found to have over 100 ticks covering his body.

After being thoroughly cleaned to strip away the remaining tar from his fur and paws, the dog was given a warm meal and a comfortable bed. As he began to recuperate, he received treatment for minor head injuries.

Affectionately named Farcik, the dog is gradually regaining his strength and learning to walk again. He remains under the care of his rescuers until he fully recovers, after which he will be available for adoption.
