Nádia had always dreamed of adopting a cat. She loved animals and knew from the start that when the time came, she wanted to give a stray or abandoned cat a second chance.
That moment finally arrived when she visited a local shelter and came across a photo that stopped her in her tracks. It was a picture of Niko—a beautiful cat with an injured eye.
The connection was instant. “I fell in love with him the moment I saw his photo,” Nádia shared. But Niko wasn’t ready to leave just yet.
He needed time for his eye to heal before going to his new home. Nádia waited patiently, checking in on him as he recovered. “His eye doesn’t bother him now. He’s doing great,” she said.
Once Niko was cleared to leave, Nádia brought him home—and they’ve been inseparable ever since. “Niko and I have spent two wonderful years together,” she shared.
When he was younger, Niko was full of energy, always running, jumping, and darting from one side of the house to the other.
Now, he’s calmed down, preferring long naps in his favorite spot—on top of the wardrobe.
“To me, he is everything,” Nádia said. “I love him like my own child.”
