Maggie and Adam had been involved in various foster programs and had waited around four months for a suitable placement. It was for a pregnant dog named Noodles when they were finally contacted.
They eagerly agreed to take her in. However, before they could prepare for Noodles’ arrival, they learned she had already given birth to a litter of puppies.

Having prepared by reading extensively about dog pregnancy and the proper integration of a new dog into a home, Maggie was ready for the challenge.
As Noodles settled into her new environment with her pups, Maggie discovered that Noodles might be deaf. The mother dog seemed unable to hear her puppies and sometimes accidentally laid on them.

To address this issue, Maggie and Adam installed dog cameras to monitor the puppies and ensure their safety.
These cameras allowed them to watch the puppies and adjust their position. Over time, they began using hand signals to communicate with Noodles, recognizing her deafness.
The couple gave Noodles the space to adjust and slowly build trust. It was apparent that Noodles had not previously experienced much human affection.

Yet, after 18 days, she surprised Maggie by jumping onto her lap, which deeply touched her. This gesture moved Maggie so much that she cried for nearly an hour.
With Noodles beginning to feel comfortable, Maggie and Adam started standard dog training. Noodles grew more affectionate, often wagging her tail when she saw her foster parents. Her puppies thrived and became well-adjusted dogs.
Though Maggie and Adam had planned to keep Noodles permanently, they also noticed a strong connection with one of her puppies, Willie. Despite being the loudest and most challenging of the litter, Willie’s charm was irresistible.

Ultimately, Maggie and Adam decided to adopt Noodles and Willie, ensuring that Noodles and her playful puppy could stay together.
