On an otherwise typical day, a group of dogs went from enjoying their time to facing an unexpected hardship. Their owner decided to move and left them behind, coldly abandoning them in the area without any intention of returning.
Adding to their plight, the man had his house torn down, leaving the dogs without shelter. They faced the harsh outdoor conditions, with no one to rely on. Fortunately, compassionate rescuers heard about the dogs’ situation and immediately stepped in to help.

When the rescuers arrived, they found only one dog still waiting for his owner, who wasn’t coming back. Despite trying to find a foster home for the night, they had no success and left the dog with some food, promising to return the next morning.
Upon returning, the rescuers discovered two more dogs had joined their faithful friend, adjusting their plan to find permanent homes for all three canines. Unable to find immediate placements, the rescuers decided to care for the dogs on-site while they searched for families willing to adopt them.
The dogs began to associate the arrival of the rescuers’ car with the comfort of care and wagged their tails in happy anticipation. But their days took a tragic turn when one of them, named Roku, was struck by a vehicle.

Recognizing the urgency, the rescuers swiftly took Roku to a veterinary clinic. An X-ray revealed a broken right femur requiring surgery. Fortunately, the rescuers found a skilled surgeon willing to perform the procedure at a reduced rate.
Post-surgery, Roku was placed into a foster home to rest and continue recovery, making new friends named Bett and Terry. Monitoring his improvement daily, the foster family saw Roku’s determined journey toward healing.
Soon, Roku will move to another foster home, the last stop before the rescuers find him, and his two friends, a permanent family. His companions, now named Raya and Roger, have also been cared for diligently and await adoption.
There’s optimism that the dogs will discover loving, compassionate homes where they’ll receive the care and kindness they deserve.
