When rescuers found the mother dog, she appeared far more anxious than her little ones. The community, who had been caring for her, devised a clever plan to capture her by taking her puppies first, believing she would willingly follow them.
The puppies were carefully placed into a vehicle for a short 10-minute drive to Karlee’s home. Remarkably, the mother dog stayed close behind for the entire journey!

Periodic stops were needed to ensure she stayed hydrated, but gradually, the plan came together.

Once at Karlee’s, it took about a week before the mother dog felt comfortable enough to venture inside. Yet, when she finally did, she was overjoyed to reunite with her pups in a safe and loving environment.
